### NeighborWorks Holds Ribbon Cutting for The Lincoln Senior Housing in Brockton

NeighborWorks Housing Solutions recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of *The Lincoln*, a new senior housing community offering 37 affordable units at the former Lincoln School site, located at 70 Highland Street in Brockton, MA. Leasing is now underway, with the first residents expected to move in by April.

The project transformed a historic elementary school, originally built in the 1890s, into a modern residential space featuring studio and one-bedroom apartments for seniors. Efforts were made to preserve original elements of the schoolhouse wherever possible, integrating them into the new design.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in demand for affordable, accessible, and supportive housing, which puts more of our seniors at risk,” said Robert Corley, CEO of NeighborWorks. “These types of historical developments are some of the most challenging to take on, but we are proud to welcome you to this revitalized former school, which will now serve as a home to 37 seniors.”

This project marks a significant step toward addressing the growing need for senior housing in the Brockton area while preserving a piece of local history.
