### Rancho Mission Viejo Expands with Five New 55+ Neighborhoods
Rancho Mission Viejo announced on Monday that homebuilders Del Webb, Lennar, and Tri Pointe Homes will construct 326 homes across five new neighborhoods in Gavilán Ridge, the newest village on The Ranch, designed exclusively for residents aged 55 and older.
“With the large and growing population of Baby Boomers reaching retirement age and Gen X not far behind, demand for 55+ living is at an all-time high,” said Kris Maher, SVP of Community Development at Rancho Mission Viejo. The new neighborhoods include Lavender by Tri Pointe Homes, Nova by Lennar, Strata by Lennar, Luna by Del Webb, and Elara by Del Webb.
Upon completion, Rancho Mission Viejo will span approximately 6,000 acres—about 25% of the 23,000-acre historic ranch—offering multiple villages and up to 14,000 homes. Around 6,000 of these homes will be dedicated to 55+ residents. Additionally, approximately 17,000 acres will be preserved as part of The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo, ensuring space for habitat conservation, ranching, and farming.
