### Intellia Therapeutics Consolidates Space in Cambridge and Waltham
Gene-editing company Intellia Therapeutics Inc. is restructuring its real estate footprint in Cambridge and Waltham, Massachusetts. According to the *Boston Business Journal*, the company has signed a lease with Alexandria Real Estate Equities for approximately 101,000 square feet of office and laboratory space at 400 Technology Square in Cambridge. It also plans to acquire an additional 46,000 square feet at the same location once it becomes available.
As part of this move, Intellia intends to consolidate some of the more than 250,000 square feet it currently occupies across six locations in Cambridge into the new 400 Tech space. However, the company has not specified which of its existing locations will be affected.
At the same time, Intellia is planning an early departure from its 140,000-square-foot facility at 840 Winter Street in Waltham, also leased from Alexandria. This decision follows a recent restructuring that included workforce reductions and a scaling back of its development pipeline.
