**Kolter Multifamily Breaks Ground on 55-Plus Apartment Community in Boynton Beach**

Kolter Multifamily has officially broken ground on Boynton Tropical, a 55-plus apartment community located west of Boynton Beach. Taking a different approach from traditional senior housing options, the project aims to provide residents with a unique living experience.

“We think of the project as a cruise ship on land,” said Jeff Quinlivan of Kolter. “Typically, senior communities offer smaller units and 24-hour care, which increases monthly costs. Boynton Tropical will focus on lower-acuity living with an emphasis on wellness-based amenities and activities.”

The development will include 210 apartments ranging from 800 to 1,400 square feet. Residents will have access to approximately 15,000 square feet of amenities, including a resort-style pool, a fitness center, a dining area with a bar, a craft room, a salon, a yoga studio, and a ping-pong room.

Boynton Tropical is being built on an 8.9-acre site at 7401 Tropical World Way, located on the east side of Hagen Ranch Road. A Kolter affiliate acquired the property in 2020 for $4.75 million.

The project is expected to be completed by winter 2026.
