### CBRE Facilitates Sale of Historic Whiting Place Apartments in Wisconsin

CBRE has successfully arranged the sale of Whiting Place Apartments, a 21-unit multifamily property located in Stevens Point.

Heidi Mancheski, a Stevens Point-based investor, acquired the property for $3.2 million from Wausau-based Lokre Companies and Weston-based Stehr Construction. CBRE’s Sean Beuche, Patrick Gallagher, Matson Holbrook, and Gretchen Richards represented the sellers in the transaction.

Originally developed in 1923 as The Whiting Hotel, Whiting Place Apartments was designed by Milwaukee-based historic architect Alfred Clas. The building was renovated in 1988 and transformed into a mixed-use apartment community, incorporating ground-floor retail, professional offices, and heated underground parking.

Situated at 1408 Strongs Avenue, the five-story Mediterranean Revival-style building is recognized as a Historic Place by the National Park Service’s National Register of Historic Places. The property offers one- and two-bedroom floor plans, along with nearly 18,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor and lower level.
