CBRE facilitated the sale of Whiting Place Apartments, a 21-unit multifamily property in Stevens Point. The property was purchased by local investor Heidi Mancheski for $3.2 million from Lokre Companies and Stehr Construction, both based in Wisconsin.
Representing the sellers were CBRE’s Sean Beuche, Patrick Gallagher, Matson Holbrook and Gretchen Richards.
Originally built in 1923 as The Whiting Hotel by renowned historic architect Alfred Clas of Milwaukee, the building was renovated into a mixed-use apartment community with ground-floor retail space and professional offices along with heated underground parking. Located at 1408 Strongs Avenue, it is classified as a Historic Place on the National Register of Historic Places due to its five-story Mediterranean Revival-style architecture.
The apartments offer one- and two-bedroom floor plans while also featuring nearly 18,000 square feet of commercial space on its ground floor and lower levels.
