H Mart, a popular Asian supermarket chain, is making its way to the Fort Worth area with plans to open its third location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. The company has invested $9 million into building a 43,000-square-foot store in a large shopping center.
The new H Mart will be located in Haltom City, just 10 miles north of downtown Fort Worth at North Beach Street and Northeast Loop 820. It will serve as an anchor for the retail complex which boasts over 50 stores including restaurants, bakeries, coffee and tea shops and salons. Construction on the grocery store is expected to be completed by December with FTC Architects leading the design process.
According to reports from The Dallas Business Journal , this retail center is already nearly fully leased at around 85-90%.
The project is a collaboration between Haltom City along with Mercantile Partners LP , KBC Advisors , Velocis and Haltom City Forest Properties LLC . In addition to the grocery store development there are also plans for an estimated $42 million four-building industrial park within this partnership.
