Avison Young recently facilitated a new lease for 35,469 square feet at the Radio Tower in Northern Manhattan. The tenant, New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), is a leading oncology practice and will occupy the entire eighth, ninth and eleventh floors of the building located at 500 W. 181st St.
The Avison Young team of Marty Cottingham, Michael Gottlieb, Patrick Steffens, Joel Wechsler and Alexis Odgers represented Youngwoo & Associates in securing this lease agreement. They were joined by Arthur J. Mirante II from Savills on behalf of NYCBS.
According to Cottingham: “We are thrilled to have found such an exceptional tenant for this landmark property in Washington Heights.” He added that Avison Young worked closely with both parties to ensure that this space would be utilized effectively by bringing high-quality medical services and job opportunities to the community.
This exciting development marks Northern Manhattan’s first high-rise mixed-use project in half a century and is sure to make a positive impact on the area’s economy.
