Fontana Chosen as Site for First North American Factory of Zero-Emission Truck Manufacturer

ZM Trucks, a leading brand in zero-emission commercial trucks, has chosen Fontana in San Bernardino County as the location for its first manufacturing plant in North America. The 210,000-square-foot facility is situated at 10271 Almond Ave and was developed by Real Estate Development Associates. In addition to serving as ZM Trucks’ new regional headquarters, the property will also house their production operations.

The decision to establish this facility was made after extensive discussions with San Bernardino County officials beginning early 2024. According to Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman, “San Bernardino County offers an ideal environment for businesses seeking a skilled workforce and competitive costs.” The county’s Economic Development team worked closely with ZM Trucks to ensure they found the perfect site that would support their growth in the zero-emission vehicle industry.

Construction of this state-of-the-art facility is expected to be completed by mid-2025 and will begin production shortly after. It is estimated that annual production will reach between 35,000-40
