Chinyere Hubbard has been selected as the new president and CEO of the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce, according to an announcement by the organization. She will be taking over for Angela Franco, who announced her departure last year when her contract ended. The Washington Business Journal reported that Hubbard’s most recent position was as chief marketing and strategic communications officer at the Greater Washington Partnership, a group made up of CEOs and executives from Maryland, Virginia, and DC.
Hubbard brings with her a wealth of experience in leadership roles across various sectors including private industry, government agencies, and social organizations. Her expertise includes strategic planning, public relations management,
advocacy work,
fundraising efforts,
and board engagement.
The chamber conducted an executive search through Impact Search Advisors by Nonprofit HR in collaboration with their team before selecting Hubbard for this important role.
