A permit has been approved by the Jacksonville-area river water planning district for Southbank to construct a 125-slip marina as part of the RiversEdge project. This massive, mixed-use development by Preston Hollow Community Capital spans 30 acres and includes retail, office space, restaurants, a hotel, residential units and new park space along the riverfront.
It is important to note that Preston Hollow is not directly responsible for developing RiversEdge. Instead, they are marketing individual parcels of land within the project to other developers.
Toll Brothers, a renowned luxury home builder with national presence has purchased a 2.76-acre parcel within RiversEdge for $4.1 million in March and will be developing 40 townhome units as part of this project.
According to Commercial Edge reports , all components of RiversEdge are falling into place smoothly which brings its expected completion date closer to reality in 2025.
The latest update on Southbank’s development plans reveals that they have received approval from Jacksonville’s river water planning district for their proposed marina at River’s Edge. However,it should be noted that while Preston Hollow remains involved in promoting individual property parcels within River’s Edge,the actual construction work will be carried out by separate developers.Toll Brothers,a reputable national luxury housing developer recently acquired one such plot measuring approximately two point seven six acres at four point one million dollars back in March.Their contribution towards this venture involves building forty high-end townhouses which adds another dimension towards completing River’s edge before its anticipated deadline set sometime around twenty twenty-five according recent updates provided through Commercial Edge reports .
