Construction has officially begun on the new $1.2 billion terminal at San Antonio International Airport (SAT). Spanning over 850,000 square feet and featuring up to 17 gates, this state-of-the-art terminal is designed to meet the needs of one of the fastest-growing medium-sized airports in the U.S.

Not only will this project accommodate SAT’s growth, but city leaders also anticipate it will stimulate economic growth and set a new standard for future airport developments. The highly anticipated terminal is expected to open by mid-2028 and create approximately 16,000 jobs during its construction phase.
