Clune Construction has successfully finished the construction of LOT Polish Airlines’ first American business lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport’s Terminal 5. This milestone project, which celebrates Polish heritage, will open to the public next week and offers a cultural and luxurious pre-flight experience.
With one of the largest Polish populations outside of Poland, Chicago was an ideal location for this lounge. The 6,641-square-foot space showcases authentic Polish craftsmanship with materials sourced directly from Poland. Custom tiles, furniture, and plumbing fixtures were flown in on LOT Polish Airlines’ own aircraft.
This is not Clune Construction’s first project at O’Hare International Airport; they have also recently completed work on United Club as well as two acclaimed restaurants: Hampton Social and Bar Siena. According to Chris Redpath, Managing Director at Clune Construction,”Our deep understanding of airport environments allowed us to overcome unique challenges while working near baggage and customs operations at O’Hare.” He added that they are proud to have delivered LOT Polish Airlines’ vision ahead of schedule by combining their expertise with the airline’s dedication to creating an authentic travel experience for passengers.
Overall, the completion of this project marks another successful collaboration between Clune Construction and their clients in delivering high-quality spaces that meet both functional needs and cultural significance.
