A new affordable housing community has recently opened its doors in Bellevue, thanks to the efforts of Seattle-based Great Expectations and AOF/Pacific Affordable Housing Corp. The Crossroads Apartments project is a transformation of the former Sagebrook Senior Living Center, located at 15750 NE 15th St., as reported by Puget Sound Business Journal.
The development offers 108 units for individuals earning between 60% to 80% of the area’s median income. Funding for Crossroads was provided through a $10.8 million low-rate loan from Amazon Housing Equity Fund (HEF). In late December of last year, Great Expectations and California-based nonprofit AOF/Pacific acquired Sagebrook Senior Living Center for $16.5 million.
Crossroads Apartments features a variety of living options including studio, one-, and two-bedroom units. Rush Construction served as general contractor while Baylis Design handled architectural design for this project.
This residential development in Bellevue has been made possible with support from Amazon HEF and marks an important step towards providing more affordable housing options in the area.
