"FW HQ Being Sold by Tandy"

Tandy Leather, a company that has been based in Fort Worth since its establishment in 1919, has announced its plans to sell its primary distribution building and flagship store located at 1900 Southeast Loop 820. The buyer of the property is New Jersey-based food company and distributor Colonna Brothers, who will be purchasing it for $26.5 million.

The building comprises of 205,000 square feet of industrial space and an additional 20,000 square feet dedicated to showroom use. According to reports from the Dallas Business Journal, Tandy intends to finalize the transaction by January and then enter into a lease agreement that will allow them to remain on the premises until approximately September. After this period ends, they will begin preparations for their relocation to a new facility within Fort Worth.

Tandy Leather specializes in selling leather goods such as dyes, tools for leatherworking purposes as well as finishes like saddles and tack hardware. Their products are distributed through their network of stores which includes locations across North America (99) along with one store situated in Spain.

This news comes shortly after another long-standing business from Fort Worth – Dickies – announced their decision to move out from their headquarters there so they could join other brands owned by their parent company at a corporate campus situated in California.
