"NC Town Approves Rezoning Plan for Rapid Growth and Transformation"

The town of Fuquay-Varina experienced significant growth in the past decade, with its population nearly doubling from 18,000 to almost 40,000. To accommodate this rapid development, local leaders have taken swift action by approving a rezoning plan for nine parcels totaling 87.98 acres.

Under the new zoning regulations, these previously designated residential agriculture areas will now be transformed into commercial mixed-use spaces. This exciting project is known as Vaughan Park and will feature a variety of buildings including a medical facility, two multifamily complexes consisting of 742 units combined and six mixed-use structures.

Leading the development is DR Horton who also plans to construct hundreds of homes alongside the commercial components. The project will be divided into two distinct sections each offering unique amenities for residents and visitors alike.

On the west side of Vaughan Park there will be a swimming pool surrounded by public art installations as well as two playgrounds and a greenway that winds around wetlands and ponds providing scenic views for all to enjoy.

Meanwhile on the east side there’s another swimming pool along with clubhouse facilities perfect for hosting events or gatherings. Families can also take advantage of an outdoor food truck area complete with sheltered seating options while pet owners can bring their furry friends to play at one-of-a-kind dog park within walking distance from home.
