According to a report by the South Florida Business Journal, Related Group and BH Group have been given the go-ahead for their mixed-use development in Plantation. The project, known as Plantation City Center, will be located at 8601 W. Sunrise Blvd on a 13.7-acre site that was previously occupied by an AT&T training center.
The city council of Plantation has approved the plan which includes 512 residential units, 24,970 square feet of commercial space and parking for up to 833 vehicles. In total, the project will cover an area of over 860,000 square feet and feature various buildings such as an eight-story apartment building, five three-story multifamily buildings and two stand-alone retail structures along with a row of two-story townhouses.
As part of their commitment to providing affordable housing options in the community,
the developers have included plans for workforce housing consisting
of 51 units reserved for individuals earning up to
120% percent of the median income in this area.
Plantation City Center is set to offer residents luxurious amenities including lobby/interior spaces spanning over

456 square feet while outdoor facilities include two pools,
a pickleball court and playgrounds designed with families in mind.
In addition,
Related Group
and BH Group acquired this property back in2023 at a cost $13 million.
The design work has been entrusted into Miami-based architectural firm Arquitectonica’s hands who are renowned experts within this field.
