Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital is expanding its St. Petersburg campus with the construction of a new 259-bed children’s hospital. The project, which will span 28,000 square feet and cost $62 million, is set to begin in early 2025 and be completed by July 2026. DPR Construction has been chosen as the general contractor for this project, with HKS serving as the architect.

The expansion will include state-of-the-art facilities such as emergency exam rooms, surgical operating rooms, and an MRI machine specifically designed for sedated patients. Additionally, the interventional radiology department will be relocated from the fifth floor to join other surgeries on the second floor. This move aims to improve efficiency and accessibility within Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

According to US News & World Report rankings of children’s hospitals in Florida , Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital holds first place.

This marks John Hopkins’ latest major development in St.Pete since their seven-story research and education complex opened at Fifth Street S in 2018 spanning over an impressive area of225000 square feet.
