Hamilton Zanze Acquires Kansas Apartments with Sponsorship

Hamilton Zanze, a real estate investment firm, has recently sponsored the purchase of The Highlands in Overland Park, Kansas. This garden-style apartment community consists of 448 homes and is now under the management of Mission Rock Residential, an affiliate company of Hamilton Zanze. The property is located about 12 miles southwest of Kansas City along Interstate 35.

According to David Nelson, president and chief investment officer at Hamilton Zanze: “We are thrilled to expand our presence in the Kansas City area by sponsoring this acquisition. Our portfolio in KC continues to perform well despite challenges faced by the national multifamily market.”

The Highlands was built in 2005 and offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. It is conveniently situated near downtown Overland Park which boasts a variety of boutique shops as well as numerous dining and entertainment options. This transaction marks Hamilton Zanze’s sixth sponsored acquisition for this year.
