"Expansion of Cary Medical Campus at Duke Health Building to Cost $235M"

Duke Health has been steadily expanding its presence in Cary over the past eight years, acquiring land to develop a new campus. In 2022, the health system opened its first facilities at this location, which currently offers primary care, pediatric services, urgent care and some specialty services spanning 100,000 square feet.

According to a report from the Raleigh Business Journal , Duke has recently received approval from state regulators for a new hospital with 40 beds on Green Level W. Road near Hwy. 540. This is part of their ongoing expansion project that also includes plans for an additional 111,000 square feet of hospital space set to be completed by 2027.

The approved facility will not only include patient rooms but also operating rooms and spaces for gastrointestinal endoscopy procedures as well as equipment such as a CT scanner and linear accelerator used in cancer treatment. With this $235 million expansion project underway at their Cary medical campus site , Duke Health aims to provide even more comprehensive healthcare options for patients in the area.
