Apple has announced plans to open a new store at the Fairfax Corner retail center, located less than one mile away from its current location at Fair Oaks Mall. The tech giant will be joining Arhaus, a high-end home furnishings store that is also relocating within Fairfax Corner.
According to the Washington Business Journal, Apple’s new 36,000-square-foot space will be in a newly constructed building and is expected to open on November 9. It will be situated at 4221 Fairfax Corner East Avenue in the bustling shopping plaza just across Interstate 66 from Fair Oaks Mall.
Fairfax Corner offers an attractive mix of both national chains and local boutiques for shoppers to enjoy. In addition, it also features residential options such as lofts, townhomes and apartments for those looking for convenient living near their favorite stores.
Apple first opened its doors at Fair Oaks Mall in 2008 – less than a year after launching their original iPhone model. This location is situated near Apple’s very first store ever built: Tysons Corner Center which was revamped last year as part of an extensive renovation project.
