On Monday, WeWork announced that it will continue to utilize three floors at One Lincoln St., a 36-story office building in downtown Boston. The company had previously leased nine floors at the tower, but specific details of the lease were not disclosed.
According to Kate Harper, VP of real estate at WeWork, “We are proud to be the preferred flexible workspace provider for prestigious properties like One Lincoln and we are excited to keep offering adaptable workspaces that drive Boston’s businesses forward.” She also expressed gratitude for the cooperation and partnership with the building’s ownership in reaching this agreement which sets them up for successful operations in years to come.
The recent news from The Boston Business Journal revealed that this lease was one of WeWork’s final local agreements after emerging from bankruptcy. Under a revenue-sharing arrangement based on how much income is generated by tenants at each location rather than a fixed monthly cost, these spaces will now be managed.
