Pennrose and Mercy Care Collaborate to Develop Health-Focused Rental Community

Pennrose and Mercy Care have collaborated to create a unique rental community that prioritizes the health and well-being of its residents. As part of this plan, 170 recently completed apartments will be reserved for transitional/respite units for nearby Mercy Care patients. This means that these individuals will have access to safe and comfortable housing while receiving necessary medical care.

Additionally, all residents of McAuley Station – the name given to this new community – will have direct access to Mercy Care’s adjacent medical center. The hospital group has recently expanded their care center by 36,000 square feet, ensuring that residents can easily receive any necessary healthcare services.

The first phase of development at McAuley Station includes studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments designed specifically for local families. These units are available at a range of incomes with workforce, affordable, and supportive housing options offered at 30% to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). In addition to these transitional units, there are also plans for permanent supportive housing through Fulton County’s Behavioral Health Department in partnership with Partners for HOME.

Residents will not only benefit from convenient access to healthcare services but also enjoy on-site amenities such as a rooftop deck with stunning views of downtown Atlanta; bocce court; grill station; resident lounge; fitness center; among others.
