Airbnb has announced that it will be extending its lease for its global headquarters at 888 Brannan St. in San Francisco until 2037. The new lease, which spans over a period of 10 years, includes more than 250,000 square feet and also encompasses additional spaces on the first floor.
According to Airbnb’s statement, their long-standing headquarters will continue to serve as an important location for fostering face-to-face interactions and promoting collaboration among employees. However, the company did not disclose any information about the brokers who represented them during the negotiations for this lease extension.
The property where Airbnb’s headquarters is located is a creative office space spanning over an area of 454,862 square feet in San Francisco’s SoMA district. It is managed by Nuveen and leased out by a Newmark agency team consisting of Elizabeth Hart , Charlie Withers , and Cassidy Zerrer .
San Francisco Mayor London Breed also released a statement expressing her gratitude towards companies like Airbnb that contribute to making San Francisco an innovative and collaborative hub in today’s global economy. She further added that she looks forward to continuing this partnership with Airbnb as they remain committed to fostering personal connections within their essential workplace setting.
