Mixed-Use Project Planned for Former Nashville Entertainment Venue

WPT Capital Advisors has plans to develop a mixed-use project on the site of the former Starwood Amphitheater. An affiliate of WPT, Hobson Pike Land, has submitted proposals for a project that includes 300 multifamily units, 150 townhomes, 550,000 square feet of warehouse space and 30,000 square feet of office space. The property is located at 3839 Murfreesboro Pike and was purchased by WPT for $6.5 million in 2020 after sitting vacant since Live Nation Entertainment Inc., its previous owner closed it down in early-2007.

The venue was previously owned by SFX Entertainment and Clear Channel Worldwide (both predecessors to Live Nation) and had a capacity to hold over17,100 concert-goers. It attracted many high-profile acts such as Judas Priest,Dave Matthews Band,and Pearl Jam.

Since becoming part of Blackstone Inc.’s portfolio company in2021,WPT now boasts more than $1 trillion assets under management from this New York-based alternative asset manager.Their website currently lists33 properties across the United States.
