"Phoenix Plant Construction: Chip Supplier Invests $100M"

Sunlit Fluo & Chemical Co. Ltd., a leading supplier of semiconductor chemicals, is expanding its operations by opening its first manufacturing facility outside of Asia. The new plant will be located in Phoenix, Arizona and will play a crucial role in supporting the U.S. semiconductor industry.

The company is investing $100 million into the construction of a 900,000-square-foot facility on 27 acres of land. This state-of-the-art plant will produce high-purity hydrofluoric acid and other essential chemicals necessary for semiconductor fabrication processes. Sunlit Arizona’s presence will further strengthen Arizona’s advanced manufacturing sector which already boasts over 200 companies related to semiconductors.

Arizona has emerged as a top destination for semiconductor manufacturing with more than 40 affiliated companies choosing to establish their operations there since 2020 alone. These investments have totaled over $100 billion and created more than16,000 jobs in the state thus far.The Greater Phoenix area is home to some major players in this industry such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Amkor Technology who are leading the way towards innovation.
