South Florida Investor Secures Approval for $600M Condo Development

A resort in Key Biscayne is undergoing a transformation as it plans to convert its hotel rooms into condos. Terra, the owner of the Silver Sands Beach Resorts, has received approval from the City Commission for a 13-story building with 56 luxurious condos. The current structure was built in 1956 and consists of only one floor with 56 rooms. The resort’s current owner, Red Dragon’s Sands at 301 Ocean Drive, will be selling to Terra.

The new condo project will offer an array of amenities including multiple restaurants, a spa and gym facility, as well as a separate lodge building featuring a beach bar and three pools. Additionally,the roof will be equipped with solar panels.

The majority of the condos range from spacious sizes between3,354 to4 ,788 square feet each.Additionally,two larger units onthe top floorwill measure8 ,086 square feetand feature their own private rooftop pool.

Terra estimates that this project represents an investment exceeding $600 million dollars and upon completion,it is expectedto create43 job opportunities.The design team behind this impressive development includes Touzet Studio alongwith ODP Architecture & Design firm.
