"JPMorgan Chase Appoints Michelle Herrick as Head of Commercial Real Estate"

On Wednesday, JPMorgan Chase Commercial Banking announced that Michelle Herrick will be taking on the role of head of commercial real estate (CRE), reporting to John Simmons, who is currently the head of commercial banking. Starting in January, Herrick will lead the firm’s CRE business which includes four divisions: Agency Lending, Community Development Banking (CDB), Commercial Term Lending (CTL), and Real Estate Banking (REB).

Simmons expressed his excitement for this new appointment stating that “Michelle brings a wealth of experience and deep sector expertise to this role.” He also praised her exceptional leadership skills and client-focused approach which have contributed greatly to their success. Simmons has full confidence that she will continue to strengthen their business and deliver for clients.

Herrick has been working in CRE for over 20 years now. She joined JPMorgan Chase in 2017 as the REB Central Region market manager where she consistently achieved double-digit revenue growth. In 2021, she was promoted to head of REB before being named deputy head of CRE earlier this year.

In her new position as Head Of CRE at JPMorgan Chase , Herrick takes over from Al Brooks who will become a vice chair for commercial banking next year. Brooks’ responsibilities include advising teams across all departments within JPMorgan Chase while continuing close collaboration with clients.
