"Exploring the Influence of Latino Culture on Commercial Real Estate: REĀL Herencia's Spotlight"

REĀL, a commercial real estate organization dedicated to promoting and integrating Latinx professionals in the industry, recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with an event called Herencia at Mercado González in Costa Mesa. The evening featured a fireside chat with executives from Northgate Markets, moderated by Daniel Ceniceros – president and CEO of Connect Media and marketing chair for REĀL. The discussion focused on Northgate’s strategic growth within the Latino market and how Latino culture influences commercial real estate.

Joining Ceniceros were Paul Mittmann – Senior Vice President of Development at Northgate Markets – and Alicia Valadez – Manager for Leasing & Government Affairs. Founded in 1980 with one store in Anaheim, Northgate now operates 43 stores throughout Southern California.

The conversation delved into topics such as managing the business operations, the involvement of the founding González family, and overcoming challenges to ensure authentic Latino products are available on their shelves. Overall, REĀL’s Herencia event highlighted how important Latino culture is to shaping commercial real estate practices.
