Lennar, a leading homebuilder, has received approval from the Buckeye planning board to construct a mixed-use development at the intersection of West Southern Avenue and South Watson Blvd. The project, called Ventana Ranch South, will feature a variety of uses including residential housing and commercial spaces. This master-planned community aims to provide convenient amenities for both residents and employees with its retail shops, restaurants, services as well as office and light industrial opportunities.
The development will cover 11.2 acres for homes while approximately 43.9 acres will be rezoned to accommodate various commercial real estate components.
The team behind this venture includes Lennar Arizona LLC as the owner along with Tiffany & Bosco PA serving as attorney and Stantec handling civil engineering.
Buckeye is known for being Arizona’s largest city by area and is located in the westernmost suburb of Phoenix Metropolitan Area. According to recent census data from 2020, its population has grown significantly since 2010 reaching over 91 thousand people compared to just over 50 thousand in previous years.
