Greystar and GMC Projects, a Canadian-based real estate developer, have officially begun construction on Birchway Angle Lake, a new apartment community located at 19825 International Boulevard in SeaTac, Washington. This project is the result of a strategic partnership with Whitman Peterson and marks their second transaction together.
According to Aaron Keeler, Managing Director of Development at Greystar: “Our focus was on providing affordable rental options for residents. With the help of Whitman Peterson’s equity financing and our partnership with GMC Projects to find an innovative deal structure that worked for all parties involved.”
Birchway Angle Lake will consist of 289 apartments featuring studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts. The design team includes Weinstein A+U Architects for architectural design; CT Engineers for structural engineering; Karen Kiest Landscape Architecture; and Lair Design for interior design. In 2019,GMC Projects acquired the site and secured entitlements while Greystar serves as the project’s vertical venture developer,g eneral contractor,and property manager.
