Rio Bravo Studios is set to construct a state-of-the-art commercial soundstage facility, featuring four 20,000 square feet sound stages. The project is expected to be completed and operational by 2025. Each sound stage will have its own office area, and the site will also include two complete mill shops and ample parking for up to 450 cars. This leaves over 10 acres of land available for backlot use.
The chosen location for this development is an ideal one – an expansive parcel spanning over 18 acres near the intersection of Rio Bravo and Second Street in Bernalillo County’s NMRX Station area just south of town. With easy access to major highways like I-25 and proximity to Albuquerque International Sunport, it offers convenience for filmmakers.
Daniel Chavez from Rio Bravo expressed his excitement about the project saying that New Mexico has established a strong infrastructure for film production which presents them with an opportunity to become world leaders in this industry. This development marks another step towards achieving that goal.
