Amazon Acquires Additional Aurora Warehouse Location

Amazon has recently acquired a new warehouse and surrounding land in Aurora, near Denver International Airport. The total cost of the purchase was over $91 million, which also included an additional 13 acres of vacant land adjacent to the warehouse. These properties are situated southeast of the intersection between East 64th Avenue and North Powhaton Road.

The purchased land is part of Porteos, a large commercial mixed-use development spanning 1,287 acres near the airport. This deal also includes an industrial building on almost 46 acres.

Located at 6300 N. Powhaton Road in Aurora, DIA Logistics Park Building 1 covers an area of approximately625,000 square feet. It boasts amenities such as parking spaces for up to288 vehicles and176 trailers,and92 docks.The company has stated that this facility is designed for bulk distribution as well as local and regional distribution needs.

Overall,DIA Logistics Park comprises eight buildings spread across226acres within or next to Porteos Industrial Development.There are currently several Amazon warehouses located throughout Aurora city.
