Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. is moving closer to building a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Avondale, Arizona. The plans call for two buildings, both over 500,000 square feet which will include a showroom, office space, a call center and warehouse space for distribution uses. Additionally Ashley intends to manufacture furniture at the new facility as well; however it still needs final zoning approval from the town before construction can begin.
This project represents one of Avondale’s largest industrial developments to date with an estimated investment of over $100 million dollars by Ashley who purchased the 75 acre parcel for $32.8 million in 2021 alone! Hodgdon Management and Construction Inc., has been contracted to build this multi-phase development located just off I-10 across from the auto mall that could also include unaffiliated independent commercial buildings once completed next year .
