Earlier this year, Steward Health Care faced financial challenges and declared bankruptcy, resulting in the sale of their facilities. In response, HonorHealth has stepped in to manage four Steward Health Care facilities and multiple outpatient physician practices while transitioning important systems. This process will involve an investment of over $250 million.
HonorHealth will now be responsible for daily operations at the following locations:
– Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa
– St. Luke’s Hospital in Tempe (pictured)
– Emergency Room at Steward Mesa Hospital
– Florence Hospital in Florence
– 15 Multiple outpatient physician practices
As part of the official agreement on October 1st, HonorHealth plans to retain all current staff members including physicians and other team members from Steward Health Care.
HonorHealth currently serves a population of over five million people within Phoenix and Scottsdale areas.
