"Southern California Gas Moves Headquarters from Gas Company Tower in Downtown LA"

The Southern California Gas Company has recently signed a long-term lease for approximately 198,553 square feet at CIM Group’s City National 2CA in the Bunker Hill area of Downtown Los Angeles. This move marks a significant change for the utility, as it will be relocating from its current headquarters at the Gas Company Tower where it has been since its opening in 1991.

According to CIM Group, this is currently DTLA’s largest lease agreement so far this year. Shaul Kuba, co-founder and principal of CIM Group expressed his appreciation for SoCalGas’ decision to choose City National 2CAL as their new headquarters location among many other options. He also sees this move as another important milestone for the property and believes that it further solidifies their commitment to making sure that the building remains one of Downtown Los Angeles’ top business locations.

CIM Group’s in-house office leasing team led by Geno St. John worked alongside Peter Hajimihalis and Hayley Blockley from JLL to represent ownership during negotiations while Clay Hammerstein and Danny Rees from CBRE represented SoCalGas throughout the process.
