"Collaboration between IU and ICON Parking to Install 5,000 Chargers in NYC"

In a strategic move, Invisible Urban Charging (IUC) has joined forces with Hudson Valley Parking Trust (HVPT), the recent acquirer of ICON Parking. This partnership aims to bring charging-as-a-service solutions to New York City by deploying a network of 5,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers. The decision comes as EV ownership in the city has increased by an astounding 660% over the past five years.

The deployment of these chargers is in line with New York City’s ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 and supports the state’s rapid growth in EV adoption. According to Nigel Broomhall, CEO and co-founder of IUC alongside Jake Bezzant, this collaboration will be a game-changer for NYC despite space constraints.

This partnership follows IUC’s previous alliances with CBRE and JLL announced earlier this year and June 2023 respectively. Together, they are determined to make significant strides towards building a robust EV charging infrastructure that meets the growing demand from increasing EV ownership in NYC.
