H-E-B Purchases Land for Future Las Colinas Store

H-E-B has announced plans to construct a new supermarket in the Las Colinas area of Irving, located at the intersection of Interstate 635 and Olympus Boulevard. The site was acquired from LaTerra Development.

Construction on H-E-B’s Irving store is expected to begin later this year, with an anticipated opening date in late 2026. The San Antonio-based grocer will create approximately 700 jobs at this location.

In addition, LaTerra Development has revealed its own plans for the former Fry’s Electronics Store site. They intend to repurpose it into a self-storage facility spanning over 161,250 square feet and construction is set to start later this year. Additionally, they plan on constructing an additional indoor/outdoor RV and Boat Storage facility measuring 34,000 square feet as a separate entity within the same location – marking their first self-storage venture in Dallas.

LaTerra specializes in investing and developing multifamily properties as well as self-storage facilities primarily located within Sun Belt markets across the United States. Currently they have around one million square feet of self-storage projects under development.
