Futronic USA Inc. has announced its decision to establish a new 66,000-square-foot facility in Buda, located just south of Austin. The project is estimated to cost $28 million and will create job opportunities for approximately 350 individuals. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with production set to begin in late next year.
The company has been selected as a supplier for Tesla, whose multi-billion dollar plant is situated an hour north in Taylor. Futronic specializes in manufacturing motors, actuators, controllers and other components for various global automotive companies.
