Developers in Hollywood are looking to take advantage of the popular Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino by constructing guitar-themed apartments just across the street.
Dubbed Guitar View, these new apartments will consist of 198 units, with 40% designated for workforce housing. Under a Florida state law, property owners can bypass local zoning regulations if they adhere to guidelines for building affordable housing. In this case, tenants with up to 120% of the area’s median income will be eligible to apply.
The applicants behind this project are Nicolas Mendizabal and Eloy Garcia. According to reports from the South Florida Business Journal, their proposed site is currently a car lot.
The development itself will span over 189,087 square feet and stand at 14 stories tall. It will also include commercial space totaling around 6,000 square feet and provide parking for up to277 vehicles. The apartment units will begin on the fifth floor and offer residents access an amenity deck on the roof featuring a pool,Jacuzzi,f itness center,and spa facilities.
Luis La Rosa from LLR Architects has been tasked with designing this project.
