Alchemy Ventures and S & A Capital Group have successfully completed the purchase of 251 Church St., also known as 69 Leonard St., in Tribeca. The property, which spans over 14,000 square feet, was acquired for $12.55 million with the assistance of Newmark’s Maurice Suede, Eric Roth and Brett Seigel representing both parties.
This five-story walk-up building features seven free-market rental apartments including six four-bedroom units (two of which are duplexes) and one two-bedroom unit. Additionally, it is home to Two Hands – a popular Australian cafe/restaurant/bar – as well as Shion 69 Leonard Street – a Michelin-starred omakase-style dining experience.
The acquisition is part of Alchemy Ventures’ expanding portfolio in New York City. As an affiliate of Alchemy Properties Inc., Alchemy Ventures operates independently and focuses on real estate investments in NYC and its surrounding areas. Partnering with them on this venture is S & A Capital Group – an affiliate of Hong Kong-based family office S & A International Holding Limited that specializes in multifamily investments within NYC.
