"Monmouth Park Racetrack to be Enhanced with Mixed-Use Development in Phases"

Morris Bailey, the chairman of JEMB Realty and Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, has initiated the design and development process for a mixed-use community on 80 acres near Monmouth Park Racetrack in Oceanport, NJ. The project will include apartments, a 200-key hotel, retail spaces, entertainment venues and youth sports facilities.

The first phase of this venture is set to begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2025 through a partnership with the State of New Jersey and Dennis Drazin’s Darby Development LLC.

Bailey stated that this marks an important milestone as it continues their journey that started over ten years ago when they envisioned transforming Monmouth Park into an even more exciting destination for horse racing enthusiasts. After undergoing extensive planning processes over several years, their plans will bring new life to this area by creating a dynamic lifestyle hub for future generations while also setting up Monmouth Park Racetrack for significant growth opportunities.
