Mesa to Build $3 Billion Data Center

Novva Data Centers has revealed plans to construct a 300MW data center campus on 160 acres of land located outside the 202 loop in southeast Mesa. The company acquired this parcel of land through a state land auction that took place in August of 2023.

This will be Novva’s sixth site and its first venture into Arizona. The project is estimated to cost over $3 billion and will be completed in two phases within the next decade. It is expected that construction alone will require approximately ten million human hours, with the first phase set to launch by late 2026, providing a Critical IT Load capacity of up to 96 Megawatts. Upon completion, the facility will consist of five data halls as well as an office building and warehouse spanning over1.3 million square feet, creating employment opportunities for around200 individuals.

Mesa marks Novva’s sixth location announcement within Western United States; other campuses include West Jordan (Utah), Colorado Springs (Colorado), Reno (Nevada), Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
