"Plans for Two Hotels on Iconic Austin Cafe Location Announced"

Sutton Co. and KOA Partners have joined forces to redevelop the closed Hill’s Cafe site on South Congress Avenue in Austin. This 15-acre project, known as The Hills, will feature a mix of hotels, residential units, office space and retail.

The iconic Hill’s Cafe was a beloved Austin establishment that first opened its doors in 1947 but unfortunately closed down in 2018. Now, plans are underway to revitalize the site with modern amenities while still honoring its historic roots.
