The City of Goodyear is seeking a long-term partner to develop and manage a large sports center that will serve both residents and visiting sports teams. The proposed complex would feature up to 15 soccer fields, which could also be utilized for special events, as well as a 48-court pickleball facility, walking trails, and paths.
In order to effectively plan the project’s development, phasing has been taken into consideration. The first phase is estimated at $65 million and would include six fields along with necessary infrastructure such as parking lots, restrooms,and office space. Phase two would cost approximately $43 million and add five more fields while also expanding on amenities like restrooms and office space. Finally,the third phase comes in at $22 million with four additional fields being constructed alongside further improvements in parking facilitiesand restrooms.
