Goldman Sachs Acquires Boston East Apartments

A team from CBRE, led by Simon Butler, Biria St. John, John McLaughlin and Brian Bowler successfully facilitated the sale of Boston East in East Boston, MA. This Class A apartment complex consists of 200 units and was sold for an undisclosed amount; however, according to the Boston Business Journal it was reported as $85.25 million.

The seller was represented by CBRE on behalf of their affiliate American Realty Advisors based in Los Angeles. The buyer for this property was procured by the Real Estate division at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.

Constructed in 2018, Boston East is a six-story residential community situated along the beautiful shores of Boston Harbor within the submarket of East Boston. Residents can enjoy various amenities such as a first-floor club room with meeting space and a sky lounge with terrace access; there is also a fitness center available along with community arts space.
