"Downtown Redevelopment Plan Making Progress in McKinney"

The town of McKinney has selected M2G Ventures to lead a downtown redevelopment project that could bring new additions such as a hotel, office space, residential units and retail. According to Community Impact, the town will be vacating four city-owned properties which are crucial for the success of this plan. This includes the current City Hall building where staff will be moving out by early next year.

The proposed site plan features a six-story full-service hotel with 139 rooms and approximately 3,000 square feet of retail and restaurant spaces including a beer garden and grill. Additionally, there will be almost 5,000 square feet dedicated for meeting space. Other components of the plan include:

– A three-story office building
– Twelve townhomes
– One hundred sixty-six multifamily units with over 360 parking spaces

Furthermore,the site plan also incorporates various retail spaces throughout the development as well as a public parking garage with capacity for up to 150 vehicles.
