Elon Musk’s company, Neuralink, is expanding its operations in Del Valle with the construction of new buildings. The estimated cost for this project is approximately $15 million. The 112,000-square-foot facility will be located on a 37-acre property just a short drive from Tesla’s Giga Texas headquarters. This three-story building will house offices, a machine shop and manufacturing areas.
Neuralink was founded by Musk in 2016 and aims to develop implantable brain-computer interfaces that enable individuals with disabilities to control mobile devices and computers using their thoughts.
Plans for establishing Neuralink facilities in Austin were first presented to Travis County in 2022.
