Hillwood is making strides in the development of a vast, master-planned community known as Landmark in Denton. Spanning over 3,200 acres, this project will feature 6,000 homes upon completion.
Along with residential properties, Landmark will boast more than 5 million square feet of mixed-use commercial space and over 3,000 multifamily units lining more than five miles along I-35W. The comprehensive plan integrates retail shops, dining options, and office spaces with entertainment venues, hospitality services, and healthcare facilities amidst lush greenery reminiscent of Parkside at Alliance Town Center.
This expansive property was originally acquired by the Perot family back in 1987 and boasts Pilot Knob as its most prominent feature. As the highest point within Denton city limits,Pilot Knob holds significant geological and ecological value, making it an iconic landmark for Indigenous peoples, pioneers, and cattle drives alike – hence, the name “Landmark” for this project.
The masterplan centers around a unique ecosystem spanning over1 ,100 acres that includes a sprawling300-acre park district featuring Pilot Knob and surrounding hillsides. This distinctive landscape serves as an anchor for various recreational activities, suchas entertainment eventsand outdoor leisure pursuitsfor residents to enjoy within their own community.
