Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is constructing a two-tower complex on Boston’s Charles Street, which will be named after InterSystems Corp. founder Phillip Ragon and his wife, Susan. The building will feature more than 1.5 million square feet of space and house the Mass General Cancer Center and Corrigan Minehan Heart Center with 482 single-bed inpatient rooms across two towers.
In recognition of their “monumental” contribution towards the project’s construction, MGH executives have announced that the nearly two-million-square foot complex shall be called the Phillip and Susan Ragon Building following their $200 million gift to MGH in 2019 – reportedly its largest donation ever received by hospital staff members.
The opening of this new facility is scheduled for completion between 2027 to 2030 in phases according to Business Journal reports
